Position Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an Exciting Potential Opportunity for an RN Utilization Management supporting The Veterans Administration Office of Community Care in Glendale, CO!

Qualifications:
  • Education: Must have an Associate (ADN) or Bachelor’s (BSN) degree in Nursing from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Additionally, candidates must have one of the following:
    • Certified Registered Nurse Case Manager (CCM or ANCC) -OR-
    • Certification eligibility with 3 years (ADN) or 2 years (BSN) of full-time clinical case management experience with children, families, seniors, or groups.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Course (NRC) may be required per AFI 44-102 or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years (ADN) or 2 years (BSN) of full-time experience in clinical case management working with various patient populations.
    • Experience with the military healthcare system, telehealth, TRICARE, and Military Health System Genesis is preferred.
  • Licensure: Must hold a current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all phases of the Case Management Program (CMP) and ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Provide nursing expertise in case management, including assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring.
  • Identify opportunities for case management and integrate local CM processes into practice.
  • Develop and implement tools and strategies for effective case management, including patient assessment tools, clinical guidelines, CM software, and community resource databases.
  • Collaborate with utilization management (UM) and social work case management for comprehensive patient care solutions.
  • Work closely with patients, families/caregivers, providers, and the healthcare team to develop and execute personalized care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to ensure they receive appropriate, timely care.
